The Research

BioGaia Gastrus contains a combination strains of DSM 17938 and ATPCC PTA 6475, which have been studied in many randomized controlled trials.

The strains DSM 17938 and ATPCC PTA 6475 may help to reduce gastrointestinal side-effects of antibiotics, as well as improve treatment efficacy of antibiotics for H. pylori infection.

The strain DSM 17938 (without ATPCC PTA 6475) has been shown to help constipation in both adults and children.

In children, DSM 17938 has also been shown to improve abdominal pain and reduce the duration of diarrhoea caused by gastroenteritis.

What's in it?

Bulking agent (isomalt), L. reuteri DSM 17938 and L. reuteri ATCC PTA 6475, flavour enhancer (ascorbic acid), mandarin flavouring and mint flavouring.

Each tablet contains a minimum of 200 million live L. reuteri.
