The Research
JUVIA has been shown to help improve bowel habits in people with severe constipation, as well as reduce symptoms of bloating and abdominal pain.
A pilot study conducted with The Functional Gut Clinic showed that consumption of ERME by 15 patients led to significant improvements in constipation as well as reductions in bloating, pain, and flatulence.
JUVIA has been tested in a randomised control trial for IBS (results not yet published).
JUVIA is currently being tested in a trial with the NHS for the treatment of IBS.
A pilot study has shown that JUVIA improves carbohydrate digestion and reduces malfermentation.
What's in it?
Ingredients: Enzyme Rich Malt Extract (ERME), potassium sorbate.
ERME contains: arabinosidases, deacetylases, dextrinases, phytases, fructanases, proteases, lipases, beta-glucan solubilases, amyloglucosidases, esterases, isoamylases.
Contains vitamins: thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), pantothenic acid (B5), pyridoxine (B6), biotin (B7), folate/folic acid (B9), cyanocobalamin (B12).
Contains minerals: magnesium, potassium, selenium, zinc, iron.
Contains antioxidants: ferulic acid, flavan-3-ols, other phenolic acids (vanillic acid, p-coumaric acid, syringic acid).
