This product has not been used in any clinical trials and therefore we cannot support the current claims made as there is no evidence this product would be effective at producing the claimed benefits. The doses of certain ingredients (inulin and bacillus coagulans) may also be at too small a dose to produce any significant changes.

Inulin – studies have shown the benefits of consuming inulin on the gut microbiome as well as overall metabolism. However, the doses used in the studies that show these benefits are much greater than the amounts provided in 2 of these Nutrigreens gummies. For example, the smallest dose of inulin from the studies which demonstrated positive changes to the gut microbiome was 8g per day which is about 4000% greater than the 2mg dose the 2 gummies provides. Therefore, it is unlikely microbiota changes would be seen from taking this product at its recommended dose.
Bacillus Coagulans – there are multiple studies that have demonstrated beneficial effects of bacillus coagulans on gastrointestinal symptoms. For example, one study found bacillus coagulans to effectively reduce symptoms of IBS. However, the dose used here was 6 billion CFU per day, whereas 2 of the gummies only provides 0.2 billion (200 million) CFU. This is much smaller than the study dose and so effectiveness may not be the same. In terms of the immune system, a study was able to suggest that bacillus coagulans could provide improvements to our immune systems. However, as with the previous study, the dose here was much higher than what is provided by 2 gummies (2 billion CFU in the study vs 0.2 billion CFU in 2 gummies). Therefore, whether benefits to the immune system would be achieved from these gummies is not known. Additionally, there is no mention of the specific bacillus coagulan strains used in this product, and so any benefits seen would not necessarily be supported even if the doses were the same.
